Why is my plant not growing at all?
Most likely cause:
Lack of growth can be due to low light, lack of nutrients, being root‑bound, or the plant being in its natural dormant period (often fall and winter). If conditions are poor, the plant conserves energy instead of producing new leaves.
How to fix:
- Ensure the plant is getting enough light—move it closer to a bright window or add a grow light.
- During the growing season, use a balanced houseplant fertilizer according to the label.
- Gently slide the plant out of its pot—if roots are tightly circling the pot, it may be root‑bound. Repot into a slightly larger container with fresh soil.
- If it’s winter, understand that slower growth is normal; focus on steady care rather than forcing growth.
