Why are the tips of my leaves turning brown?
Most likely cause:
Brown tips are often caused by low humidity, underwatering, or mineral buildup from tap water. Dry air causes moisture to evaporate from the leaves faster than the roots can replace it. Inconsistent watering or letting the soil get bone dry can also stress the plant and show up as crispy edges.
How to fix:
- Increase humidity by grouping plants, using a pebble tray, or adding a small humidifier nearby.
- Water consistently—don’t let the soil swing from very dry to soaking wet.
- If your tap water is hard or heavily treated, try using filtered or distilled water.
- Trim off brown tips with clean scissors, following the natural leaf shape.
