Description

The Peace Lily is known for its elegant white blooms and lush, deep‑green foliage. It’s one of the few houseplants that reliably flowers indoors, even in lower light. Peace Lilies are expressive plants that droop when thirsty and perk up dramatically after watering, making them easy to read. Their graceful appearance and strong air‑purifying abilities make them a popular choice for bedrooms, offices, and living rooms.

Light Requirements

Prefers medium, indirect light but tolerates low light. More light encourages more blooms.

Watering Needs

Keep soil lightly moist. Water when the plant begins to droop slightly. Avoid letting it dry out completely.

Temperature & Humidity

Prefers 65–85°F and high humidity. Benefits from misting or a nearby humidifier.

Soil & Potting

Use a rich, well‑draining potting mix. Repot every 1–2 years.

Growth & Size

Typically grows 1–3 feet tall with broad, glossy leaves.

Pet Safety

Toxic if ingested.

Air‑Purifying

Excellent at removing VOCs such as benzene and formaldehyde.

Common Health Problems

Brown leaf tips → Low humidity Drooping → Underwatering Yellow leaves → Overwatering

Propagation

Divide mature plants during repotting.

Fun Facts
